With every Dubs purchase, you're not just getting the most comfortable kids' shoes; you're backing a brand equally dedicated to ethical sourcing and worker well-being, doing all we can at this stage in our journey towards to create the most sustainable and comfortable kids' shoes your little legends have ever worn.
The Dubs Charter
Our ethical sourcing commitment is outlined in the 'Dubs Charter', ensuring standards for worker well-being, legal compliance, and environmental responsibility. Every partner signs this contract, binding them to our principles. Furthermore, the charter draws upon ILO Core Labor Standards, in order to advance social and environmental responsibility.
We visit our factories at least once a year, reflecting our dedication to transparency and continuous improvement, building a supply chain that contributes to a sustainable future.
Worker Well-being
Dubs manufactures its shoes in factories and workshops that strictly adhere to ILO rules. To ensure that our high standards are consistently met, we have established additional criteria outlined in the Dubs Charter. Our supply chain embodies transparency, fairness, and freedom from exploitation. Our partners are committed to fostering workplaces that prioritize human rights and dignity at every stage of production. This encompasses fair living standards and pay, comprehensive benefits, and the encouragement of freedom of expression. Moreover, we ensure premium-rate compensation for overtime work and timely payment of wages.
Our Factories Partners
At this stage of our journey, we work with the best factories within our means, primarily in Vietnam and China. We select factories that prioritise sustainable practices. For instance, our Gold-rated LWG tannery in Vietnam utilises rooftop solar energy for 90% of its daytime needs and collects 60% of its water through rain harvesting during the rainy season. Initiatives like these underscore our unwavering commitment to sustainability throughout our entire supply chain.
Material Choice
We only use sustainable materials in crafting our shoes to differentiate ourselves from fast fashion brands. Our dedication to sourcing materials meeting rigorous sustainability standards is unwavering, with a focus on selecting those certified by recognised organisations. For example, the plastic bottles we use are sourced from a GRS-certified supplier, and the sugarcane for our soles comes from Braskem, is a trademarked sustainable product. Additionally, our leather is sourced from a gold-rated LWG tannery. These certifications serve as a guarantee that the materials we use reflect our commitment to environmental responsibility.
